Description  

A group of Lufkin men organized a town brass band at the turn of the century. It represented Texas at the national convention of the Order of Hoo Hoo, an organization of Canadian and American lumbermen. By the 1920s, the band became inactive, but still remains a symbol of Lufkin civic pride.

The site is located at the Perry Building, Lufkin Avenue and Cotton Square in Lufkin.
