T. William E. Bumpus , an area sawmill owner, built this house around
the turn of the century. It is an example of colonial revival and
craftsmen influences. A local landmark, the Bumpus house remained
in the Bumpus family until 1987.
Located at 201 E. Upsur at N. Center St. in Gladewater.
