Description  

Turpentine producer L.M. Autrey built this house in 1912. From 1923 to 1979 it was the home of lumberman and civic leader Thomas Williams. It is built of longleaf pine and modeled after the Malbis Plantation in Alabama.

Located 1/2 mile E of the Courthouse on Court St. in Newton.
