| Description |
|
In the 1930s, this area was part of the Lorenzo de Zavalla land
grant. Once called Farr’s Mill, the community was named for
Alfred Farr, who established Farr’s Methodist Church nearby.
A water mill, gristmill, cotton gin, sawmill and tannery made this
a major trade center.
