historical development: According to Houston County records, Albert Chamberlain and H. L. Enos owned and operated a lumber mill near Tadmore in Houston County. Chamberlain bought Enos out in 1935. Property included two steam engines, a three-saw edger, a three-saw trimmer, a boiler, a sawmill husk, carriage and set works, sawdust conveyor, two Curtis mandrels, a truck and log trailer, and mules.
