historical development: Lovelady Lumber & Manufacturing Company was incorporated for $10,000 in the spring of 1906, intending to build a planing mill in either Houston or Lovelady. The Lovelady Lumber and Manufacturing Company was the only Lovelady mill company which appeared in the January 1907 published records of the Lumbermen?s Credit Association. In 1909, the Lovelady Lumber Manufacturing Corporation filed articles for corporate dissolution.
