2008 Outstanding Volunteer

Larry Cawley

Larry has done an incredible job working on the Museum's collections. He helps with the documentation and location of items donated to the Museum. He also serves as a Museum tour guide and is eager to help with any other tasks that the Museum staff needs help with.

 

2008 Volunteer with the Most Hours

Johnnie Davis

Johnnie is an extremely involved volunteer and has spent 145 hours in the past year tending to the Museum grounds and butterfly garden. Johnnie is a Master Gardener and brings a wealth of knowledge to the Museum. Since Johnnie starting volunteering in 2006, the Museum grounds have seen great improvement. Johnnie has also recently gotten the steam engine back in running condition so it can be demonstrated for visitors.

 

2008 Rookie of the Year

Mary Carroll

This is a new award that will be given to volunteers that have gone above and beyond our expectations in their first calendar year of volunteering. In her short time at the Museum, Mary has done an amazing job updating records in our collection database. She has amassed a total of 61.5 hours in approximately three months of volunteering at the Museum.
