2009 Outstanding Volunteer

Johnnie Davis

Johnnie is one of the Museum's most dedicated volunteers. He spends on the average several hours a week tending to the Museum's grounds. Since Johnnie started volunteering in 2006, he has introduced numerous new wildflowers to the landscape. His passion for wildflowers and knowledge from being a Master Gardner have benefited the Museum greatly. His hard work and dedication can been seen all over the Museum grounds. He is also always eager to help in other areas when needed.

 

2009 Volunteer with the Most Hours

Mary Carroll

Mary has spent numerous hours working on updating the Museum's Collection database. She is very diligent and meticulous in her work. Mary has researched and solved a backlog of problems. Her hard work has gotten the collection records in tip-top shape. She is also very helpful in assisting with mail outs for Museum events. Mary is also a wonderful cook and is always bringing something good to sample!

2009 Rookies of the Year

Joe & Elizabeth Vickers

This husband and wife team have been a great addition to the volunteer staff this year. Joe and Elizabeth volunteered several years ago and have returned eager to help again. Elizabeth helps with office tasks, including assisting Mary Carroll in the Collections area. Joe keeps the sidewalks clean, light bulbs changed and just about anything else that needs attention. They were also a big help with the 2009 Sawmill Supper.
