W. B. or (W. H.) Hanson

On June 21, 1906, W. B. Hanson mortgaged to Dilley & Son a 30-inch Dixie edger, an 18-inch saw, a 6-inch by 24-inch planer, and a steam engine. On May 6, 1908, Hanson mortgaged to Wade, Crawford for $3,000 “all saw logs, lumber, ties and other sawmill products now on my ground either rough or manufactured,” as well as a log wagon, the steam engine, a boiler, a sawmill, a trimmer, an edger, and a planer.
W. B. Hanson operated a sawmill, planing mill, and a general store for several years west of Joaquin on his homestead. It was reported to have a cutting capacity of 10,000 feet daily. He sold it to G. W. Hanson in November, 1907, for $963.
