T.O. Sutton and Sons Lumber Company

The T.O. Sutton and Sons Lumber Company, based out of their Centerville, Leon County, mill, were listed as manufacturers of whole yellow pine lumber in 1934. The company dates to perhaps a decade before that. They also operated first a sawmill in 1928, then a planing mill at Colmesneil in 1934. The Suttons opened a sawmill community at Chireno, Nacogdoches County, in 1937, which closed in 1962. The family has an interest in the G & S Lumber Company sawmill at Nacogdoches currently.
