The Hancock Sawmill

The Hancock Sawmill, as it is known in Leon County records, existed in Leon County until at least 1914. H. H. Glass sold the sawmill to S. A. Owens and J. R. Armstrong on May 16, 1914. Owens conveyed it to Armstrong for $6,000. Armstrong was a resident of Terrell County, indicating that Armstrong may have dismantled the sawmill and moved it.
