George Hemnoff's sawmill at Dayton recorded in the 1899 Liberty County tax roll 325 acres in the town of Liberty and t least 104 acres in Dayton, six horses and mules, twenty cattle, and a steam engine and boiler worth $30. It also appeared in the 1900 Liberty County census records and in the January 1907 published records of the Lumbermen's Credit Association.
