T. B. Allen & Co.

T. B. Allen moved from Brookeland, in Sabine County to Allen after cutting out. The mill operated its own tram, logged with 8-wheel wagons, and bought timber from local farmers. After T. B. Allen's death death, the company was reorganized by his sons and was known as Allen and Company. The planing mill was powered by a Planer mill turned by a 25-horsepower engine and the sawmill with a 40-horsepower engine.
T. B. Allen was the father of J. B. Allen and Frank Allen.
