Kimmey & Warren

H. C. Kimmey and D. H. (or F.) Warren ordered a steam engine, boiler, and Bremmen sawmill from the R. K. Chatham & Co of Bryan, Texas, on November 15, 1889. Kimmey & Warren prepaid $1,000 of the $1,132 sales price and promised to pay the remainder on delivery of the merchandise to Homer, Texas. According to a photocopy of a R. K. Chatham & Co. document, the equipment was delivered on February 3, 1890, for a receipt by Warren & Kimmey for the remaining $132 was received.
In May, 1891, Warren gave Ed Mantooth, a county lumberman, a deed of trust on seventy acres two and a half miles north of Homer. The mill have been located there.
