The Honey Lake Sawmill
Grady C. Singletary interviewed Hersheld Williams who confirmed that the Honey Lake Sawmill was on the Anderson County side of the Neches River. It operated around 1920: a “big steam mill, with a planer, and lots of workers.” Lumber for market was brought over the bridge on the Cuney-Kickapoo Road to Cuney, where it was loaded on a siding at the I&GN.
