The National Lumber Company was probably based in Texarkana. Bowie County records note that National Lumber bought hardwood timber stands and stumpage in the area between the Boston and the Sulphur River.
Another National Lumber Company operated at the same time at Crockett in Houston County. It is not known if they were connected.
