Elijah Earle

According to a typed manuscript from the Cherokee County Historical Commission, Elijah Earle operated a multi-function milling operation, producing cornmeal and lumber, at several places in Cherokee County for twenty-odd years. His mill ran at Gum Creek, later Jacksonville, and finally cutting timbers for the International & Great Northern at Earle's Chapel.
