Robert Pryor II

The Pryor sawmill was located at Lone Oak, southwest of Rusk, about 1890 to 1900 and thereafter. Pryor (1866-1932), with his father Robert, operated several sawmills in Cherokee County. The lumber from this mill helped construct the Texas State Penitentiary, Rusk College, and the Cotton Belt Railroad.
