Robert S. “Bob” Houghton

Robert S. “Bob” Houghton, during the 1920s and 1930s, had a steam sawmill at Emmaus-Pine Hill. It furnished rig timber for the “Dad” Joiner discovery well in East Texas oil field and for other early drill rigs. The mill moved later to Striker Creek.
