The owners' names are illegible on the census manuscript. This sawmill operated six months' fulltime during the Census reporting period in 1879 and 1880, employing two to five men. The owners of the mill paid from $1.25 to $1.50 per day in wages for ten-hour shifts. The workers received $200 total in wages. Logging was done close to the mill and product was shipped by railroad. From $775 worth of sawlogs and supplies, the mill produced 145,000 board feet worth a gross value of $1,400
