Richard's Sawmill

Richard's Sawmill appeared on the March 1910 edition of the United States Geological Survey map as located about one mile southwest of Atlanta, near the Texas & Pacific railroad tracks. Atlanta, according to the Handbook of Texas, was established on the Texas and Pacific route about 1872. By 1890 it had a population of 1,794.
