T. J. Foster

T. J. Foster, according to Webb, built the first sawmill at Linden in Cass County about 1853. The lumber was hand-sawn and was used for the county's first courthouse. John D. Hanes reported in his unpublished manuscript that the pit sawmill was built by T. J. Fostor, Sr., in 1852. This mill is not enumerated in the 1850 Census.
