B. H. Christian and Brother

R. B. Calfee, J. I. Wood, A. M. Carson, and Lewis Calfee all had an interest in a sawmill at Willis in 1916. J. I. Wood and R. B. Calfee sold 250,000 feet of lumber from the sawmill to Carson from the sawmill, three miles east of Willis for $2,600 and other considerations. Wood and Calfee had to send their entire cut to Carson until the debt was settled.
Two years later, in February, 1918, B. H. Christian and Brother bought the sawmill from Calfee, Calfee, Carson, and Wood for $1,600 in notes and cash. Equipment included an Ames boiler, an Ames steam engine, a Dixie sawmill and carriage, a Hoyt edger and saws, a Hoyt combination planer, a blower, a trimmer, and three 56-inch circular saws.
