Caruthers Lumber Company

This mill is not the precursor to the Keystone Lumber Company (Keystone Mills Company) as reported in the Montgomery County History. W. T. Block believes that this mill identified as being owned by the Caruthers Lumber Company may never have existed. Keystone Mills bought a mill at Waukegan from Arnolds & Perkins in 1899, not Caruthers.
