Ford's Lake Lumber Company

The Ford's Creek Lumber Company bought the sawmill of Warren N. Yates and Edward S. Boyles in February, 1920. The spur tracks from the sawmill to the Trinity & Brazos Valley railroad would place the mill close to Montgomery. Ford's Lake is located about seven miles south of the town, however. Ford's Creek Lumber Company may have been contemplating dismantling and moving the mill from its current location, where it was located on 432 acres.
