Irwin and Campbell Company

Irwin and Campbell bought the G. H. Carter sawmill on February 5, 1890. The assets included one 12-inch by 20-inch Wood & Mann steam engine, boiler, a 30-foot carriage, head blocks and set works of Lane Manufacturing Company, one saw frame with mandrill and feed works, 68 feet of 5-ply 1-inch by 4-inch belting, two Curtis 56-inch saws, one iron axle wagon, and two log wagons.
Campbell may have moved the sawmill to Polk County at Campbell Switch adjacent to the tracks of the Houston East & West Texas, where he sold it to T. F. Calhoon, Jr., on June 8, 1894.
