Brown Lumber Company

The Brown Lumber Company by 1904 used Hugh Williams as President and George W. Brown as Secretary. In that year, the company bought a sawmill plant eight miles east of Jefferson, in Marion County. Property included the ten-acre mill site, the boiler, the steam engine, the sawmill, trams, dwellings, an edger, etc.
