A local newspaper reported in 1902 that “a fine new saw mill near the depot in Garrison” ran by a Mr. Harris “began this week.” The Harris Brothers sawmill appeared in the January 1905 Lumbermen's Credit Association's reference book but not in the 1907 credit listing.
