Heywood Lumber Company

The Beaumont Journal reported in October 1904 that the Heywood Lumber Company had completed a 100,000 foot-a-day plant sixteen miles east of Nacogdoches at Oil City, possibly near Oil Springs. The newspaper confused this plant with the Hayward Lumber Company, located about one mile southeast of the county courthouse at Nacogdoches.
