According to the local newspaper, the King family, residing in 1900 in the Lanana Bayou region, apparently owned and operated the Pea Ridge Lumber Company. County deed records for 1906 that the Pea Ridge Lumber Company was the operation of W. H. Dial, G. F. Partin, and George Matthews.
