Pearsall Lumber Company
The Pearsall Lumber Company, according to Webb and Block, operated a sawmill at Doty during the early 1900s. The town's earlier names were Baer, Stanford, and Adrian, respectively. The American Lumberman noted in July of 1900 that George W. Pearsall's mill in Orange County had just been completed and was operating.
