Hartburg Lumber Company

The only Hartburg mill that appeared in the Southern Lumberman's 1928 directory of sawmills was that of the Hartburg Lumber Company, a 40,000 board feet per day circular sawmill plant. The mill produced rough and finished pine and hardwood products. It operated a 9-mile logging tram road.
Hartburg was named for an Orange attorney.
