Hyatt, Stewart, and Fuller

The firm of Hyatt, Stewart, and Fuller, reported the Southern Industrial and Lumber Review in 1904, operated a sawmill in Orange County during the mid-1870s that manufactured ties and timbers for the Southern Pacific. When the railroad was finished, the mill closed. The owners probably included W. F. Stewart and F. A. Hyatt, both noted Orange County lumbermen.
The Southern Pacific referred to in the article probably was the Louisiana & Western, which extended service from Houston to New Orleans. It later had merged with Southern Pacific by 1887.
