Baldwin Gin Company

The Panola County records noted that the firm of Thornton & Baldwin mortgaged with Walter Connally & Co, in the amount of $250, for a gin, a Fished & Davis sawmill, dogs, blocks, axles, etc. The 1907 LCA lists the Baldwin Gin Company, with a sawmill, doing business at Woods in Panola County. Apparently this was a multi-milling operation, ginning cotton and sawing lumber.
