A Harrison County mortgage record reveals that Charlie and Frank Jones bought the W. M. Dinkle sawmill and cotton gin 1906. The operation was located near the Carters Ferry Road about ten and a half miles southwest of Marshall. The balance of the mortgage was transferred to Jno. G. Brown the following year.
