The grist mill had raw materials of $10,000, employing 3 men at a total monthly wage of $60. It ground 11,500 bushels of corn into meal at a value of $11,500.
Marshall was a slave owner with fifty-four slaves. It is not known at this time if any of his slaves worked in the mill.
