Hooper portable sawmill

A portable sawmill firm known as Hooper Brothers operated in Panola County after World War II. Panola County records document that Maxine Hooper, a widow, sold the outfit to Elzie Hooper in February, 1950, for $10.00 and other considerations. Equipment included the sawmill, the engine, an edger, saw works, and all logging equipment that formerly belonged to “Hooper Brothers.”
