Wade and Miller
The Wade Miller sawmill in the southern part of Panola County is mentioned in the Panola County Historical Association's A History of Panola County, 1819 - 1978. It opened “when RR came.” It had forty to fifty tenant houses and employed about one hundred.
Accidents at the Wade and Miller mill were mentioned in The Weekly Sentinel of 21 August 1901. In one a horse became tangled in a guide wire that was pulling down a smokestack.
