F. Campbell owned a sawmill and possibly a shingle machine at Campbell Switch, in Polk County, adjacent to the tracks of the Houston East & West Texas, in 1894. He sold the sawmill and its equipment to T. F. Calhoon, Jr., for $1,100 who moved it to San Jacinto County.
