Riddle & Needham
The Southern Industrial and Lumber Review reported in September 1906, that the Riddle & Needham sawmill plant was producing 25,000 feet daily in 1906 at Laneville in Rusk County. The report confirms the assertion by the The Heritage of Rusk County, Texas, that Jim Riddle of Laneville had a large and prosperous sawmill on the J. F. Watts property. A J. D. W. Riddle was buying land in Laneville as early as 1901, and the firm of Riddle & Irby was buying timber around Laneville in 1907.
