The Texas Forest News reported that Olin Mathison Chemical Corporation announced that its subsidiary Olinkraft, Inc., would build a pine sawmill at Henderson. Olinkraft had optioned a 94-acre site northwest of town adjacent to the Missouri-Pacific tracks. The new plant would employ about 125 workers.
