Davis & Anderson

J. H. Hogle or Hazel (spelling is suspect) bought on a $500 mortgage note for $500 an Atlas 9-inch by 12-inch steam engine and an Atlas 36-inch by 10-foot boiler. Hogel apparently took a partner named William Blankenship, for in 1893 Hazel and Blankenship bought from E. S. Mansfield on a mortgage for $25 a 50-inch solid-tooth circular saw. Blankenship mortgaged his interest in the DeLoach sawmill to W. A. Barker in August 1893, including a grist mill, a log wagon, and a yoke of oxen. Davis and Anderson bought out Hogle on a mortgage for $270 in October 1893.
