Weldon Beasley in an interview with Vernon L. Beasley reported that a Dr. McLemore had an electric, circular sawmill about three miles west of San Augustine on Highway 21. This is a one-man business.
Ernest Nash identified the owner as Dr. Mackemore and that he used diesel-powered equipment.
