Knight, Polk, and Smith

This is probably the Knight, Polk and Smith sawmill located on Ed Teel's land from 1905 to 1910. On 6 September 1906, John P. Smith mortgaged his entire interest in the steam sawmill and its machinery, known as the ‘Knight, Polk and Smith sawmill' and located on the Ed Teel tract of land, to Pat Smith for $500. Pat Smith was taxed on tools and boilers in 1905, and John Smith in the years 1907 to 1910.
On 29 April 1907, John P. Smith mortgaged to B. R. Smith $1000 for a Henderson sawmill, boiler, engine, and edger [apparently bought another sawmillsame as Fonville, but both were taxed through 1909).
L. A. Knight mortgaged in 1906 for a Chandler and Taylor 44-inch by 12-foot boiler, 56-inch saws, and and two Knight head blocks and Knight dogs.
