J. Earl King
Drayton Speights, life-long resident and lumberman of Sabine County, recalled the J. Earl King sawmill of 1915 in Sabine County. Speights reported that it was a “good-sized mill,” located about three-quarters of a mile outside of Hemphill along the right side of Highway 87.
