Rhodes steam mill
Drayton Speights, life-long resident and lumberman of Sabine County, recalled that the Rhodes steam mill operated about one mile north of Hemphill on the J. Walker Survey during the 1880s. The mill did not have a saw but rather used an axe to cut lumber.
