Thompson Allen

An oral interview of Drayton Speights, born in 1908 and a life-long resident of Sabine County and lumber industry businessman of the area, revealed that a Thompson Allen sawmill existed in Sabine County about 1850. The mill was water-powered, drawing its water from a dam on Palo Gaucho Creek.
