Baggett Mill

The Baggett Mill operated at Goodhope, five miles north of San Augustine and just south of the Shelby County line from about 1890 to 1900, according to Maxie Martin. In 1906,the sawmill company had the name of Marshall & Baggett and was operating in Shelby County with a #0 DeLoach sawmill, using one 42-inch solid-tooth saw and one 42-inch inserted-tooth saw.
