Foster S. DeWitt
J. W. Kimbro Lumber Company sold out to Foster S. DeWitt on April 1, 1947, for $1,000 cash and notes, its sawmill and equipment located on land owned by Elton McSwain. Equipment included the sawmill, a U21 International power unit, a 2-saw edger, a Fisher-Davis carriage, two 52-inch inserted tooth circular saws, a mill shed, a Chevrolet motor, a cutoff saw, a mandrel and feed works, a truck, and a Nabors log trailer. This is probably the Pappy DeWitt sawmill about which J. McSwain discussed with V. L. Beasley.
