J. M. Pigg Lumber Company

A reference in the Shelby County records refer to a sawmill of Pigg & Fowler. Southern Industrial & Lumber Review reported that this mill was manufacturing 20,000 feet daily in 1906. In 1906, Pigg mortgaged to Dilley a 30-inch 3-saw edger, front and rear rollers, a swinging cutoff saw, and a side filer. In 1907, Pigg mortgaged to W. C. Lout for $300 a Henderson #1 sawmill and two circular saws, 52-inch and 56-inch.
